In a significant policy shift, the Trump administration announced on Thursday the termination of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for approximately 500,000 Haitian nationals residing in the United States. “President Trump and I are returning TPS to its original status: temporary,” stated Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem in an official release.
