PORTLAND, Jamaica — A truck driver has succumbed to injuries sustained in a crash this morning when the vehicle he was driving overturned on a bar in Orange Bay, Portland.
According to reports, the crash occurred shortly after 10:00 a.m. when the driver lost control of the truck, causing it to overturn and crashed into the bar. Two individuals were aboard the vehicle at the time of the crash.
Both the driver and a male passenger were rushed to the hospital by police. The driver was pronounced dead on arrival, while the passenger has been admitted for treatment. His condition is reported to be stable.
Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the accident. The crash has left residents of the area shaken as they expressed concern about road safety in the vicinity.
