Jamaica – The Meteorological Service of Jamaica is advising that unstable weather will linger across the island as a slow-moving Tropical Wave, now just west of the country, interacts with a Trough over the western Caribbean.
Although the wave is gradually moving away, showers and thunderstorms are expected over most parishes this afternoon and evening.
Forecasters say tonight may see lingering thunderstorms along coastal areas.
Looking ahead, from Sunday through Tuesday, scattered afternoon showers and isolated thunderstorms are likely, especially across northern, central, and western parishes.
Residents are being urged to stay tuned to official weather updates and take precautions in flood-prone areas.
