Hanover, Jamaica (Mcn) – Three persons including an 18 month old baby, and his 5-year-old uncle were shot and killed by gunmen at Williams Field in Hanover last night.
Dead are Hopeton Lee, otherwise called “Zeeks,” 34 years-old laborer, Kimani Johnson 5 year-old, and his 18 month old nephew Daquan Davidson.
The 41 years-old mother of the 5 year-old, her 19 year-old daughter, and 17 years-old son were also shot and wounded in the incident. They are admitted to hospital in serious condition.
Reports reaching Mckoy’s News are, that shortly after 10:30 pm on Wednesday January 18, a group of heavily armed men traveled to the Williams Field, Hanover community on foot and, kicked open the door to a board structured house occupied by Hopton Lee and other family members.
The Gunmen executed Lee and speared the lives of the other family members.

The gunmen then went to another board structured house nearby, which was occupied by the 41 years-old woman and her family. The gunmen sprayed the dwelling with bullets.
Following the shooting it was discovered that five (5) of the eight (8) occupants of that house had been shot.
They were all rushed to the Noel Holmes Hospital, were the infants were pronounced dead.
The scene was visited by member of parliament for west Hanover, Ian Hayles who broke into tears while speaking to the media. He noted that it is very sad to know that children are also no longer safe in Hanover.
The area is now been patrolled by several teams of heavily armed Police officers.
