The Trelawny police have launched an investigation into a deadly gun attack in Lowe River Wednesday night that left one man dead and another injured.
According to reports, the incident occurred around 10:40 p.m. when two men made a stop at a corner shop in the community to make a purchase. As they were returning to their vehicle, unknown assailants opened fire on them.
One of the victims, a man believed to be in his 40s, was fatally shot and died at the scene. The other man was rushed to the hospital, where he remains admitted for treatment.
The police are urging anyone with information to come forward as investigations continue. Authorities are yet to determine a motive for the attack, and no arrests have been made.
