St Elizabeth, Jamaica — The St. Elizabeth Police seized a submachine gun from a 7-year-old student at a school in St. Elizabeth earlier today.
Superintendent Coleridge Minto, head of the St. Elizabeth Police, confirmed the incident, noting that the firearm was found in the possession of the young student.
Authorities are investigating how the weapon came into the child’s possession and the circumstances surrounding the incident.
