Jamaica News, April 4, 2018 – Violent Producer Fatally Shot in Westmoreland
Westmoreland, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – A 19-year-old teenager who the police labels as a violent producer was fatally shot by members of the security forces on Wednesday, April 4, in the parish of Westmoreland.
The deceased has been identified as Desmond Tomlinson, unemployed of Delveland District in Little London.
Reports by the Grange Hill police are that, following the recent upsurge in murders and shootings in the area, a joint military team carried out operations at various areas in Grange Hill on Wednesday.
The lawmen further reported that about 3:00 p.m., they went to a section of the area known as Geneva Mountain in search of gunmen. On reaching a section of the area, they were fired upon by armed men and the gunfire was returned.
During the shooting, Tomlinson was fatally shot and a. 380 pistol was taken from him. The other men escaped in bushes.
The police also stated that Tomlinson is believed to be affiliated with a certain gang which operates out of Grange Hill, and is also a violent producer who was always in trouble with the Law.
