Teenage Girl Arrested and Charged: A 19-year-old woman who landed several blows to the face of a police corporal after he intervened in a dispute between her and her boyfriend in St Ann on Sunday has been arrested and charged.
The accused, Shanique Daily, of Roaring River in Steer Town, St Ann, has been charged with Assault Occasioning Bodily Harm committed against an officer.
Reports indicate that around 2:00 pm, Daily and her boyfriend got involved in an argument at his home in Eltham district, Ocho Rios. The police corporal, who lives in the area, intervened to quell the dispute.
It is reported that the young woman attacked and allegedly struck the corporal several times in the face.
Other police officers had to be called to the location to restrain Daily, after which she was taken into custody and subsequently charged.
