Kingston, Jamaica — A 16-year-old student of Sunrise Crescent, Red Hills in Kingston has been charged with robbery with aggravation following an incident in Portmore, St. Catherine, on Tuesday, October 14, 2025.
Reports from the Waterford Police are that about 4:30 p.m., a teenager was standing along the roadway when he was approached by a group of boys, including the accused 16-year-old.
During the encounter, the boy brandished a knife and reportedly robbed the victim of an iPhone 12 Pro Max before he and his accomplices fled the scene on foot.
An alarm was raised, and citizens apprehended the 16-year-old, handing him over to the police upon their arrival.
He was formally charged on Wednesday, October 15, and preparations for his court appearance are now underway.
