Efforts to break the ongoing salary dispute between the Jamaica Teachers’ Association (JTA) and the Government are expected to intensify with a critical meeting scheduled for Tuesday morning.
JTA President Mark Malabver has urged educators across the island to remain calm and exercise patience as negotiations move into what he described as a decisive phase.
In the lead-up to the discussions, Malabver has also called on teachers to wear black on Tuesday as a visible sign of unity during the ongoing dispute.
His appeal was delivered through an audio message circulated to members and later shared with the media on Sunday, as stakeholders prepare for the high-level talks
