Several passengers, including students, were injured following a motor vehicle crash in Lluidas Vale, St. Catherine, on Thursday morning.
Preliminary reports indicate that the vehicle left the roadway and plunged into a nearby cane field before eventually coming to a stop. The circumstances that led to the crash have not yet been confirmed.
Emergency responders attended the scene and assisted the injured passengers. The number and extent of the injuries have not been disclosed.
The police have launched an investigation to determine what caused the vehicle to veer off the road.
