A Massachusetts courtroom heard new testimony Monday as Jamila Adams, a personal chef accusing NFL wide receiver Stefon Diggs of assault, detailed the nature of their relationship prior to her employment.
Adams told the court that she first connected with Diggs roughly four and a half years ago after he contacted her via Instagram about cooking services. What began as a professional exchange, she said, evolved into something more personal over time.
“It was complicated,” Adams testified, describing a relationship that she said transitioned from friendship into a sexual one before any formal employment arrangement was established.
According to her testimony, Diggs later offered her a live-in position in February 2025, paying $2,000 per week. Adams said she moved into his home in July and worked there through December, focusing on preparing meals and supporting his physical recovery during what she described as a critical period in his football career.
Adams also described tensions within Diggs’ inner circle in the weeks leading up to the alleged incident. She referenced disputes involving another woman connected to Diggs’ household, which she said created friction and ultimately affected her role.
The situation escalated further when Adams said she was excluded from a planned trip to Miami. She testified that she had expected to attend Art Basel alongside members of Diggs’ social circle, including rapper Cardi B, and expressed frustration about being left behind.
Adams told jurors that an argument over the issue preceded the alleged assault in December. She described feeling frightened during the encounter and said she left the residence shortly afterward, traveling to New York.
During her testimony, Adams acknowledged deleting some text messages before turning over her communications to investigators, explaining she was concerned about how they might be interpreted.
The case is ongoing, and Stefon Diggs has not yet presented his defense. The court will ultimately determine the credibility of the claims and the outcome of the allegations.
