St. Thomas Man Charged: A 61-year-old musician from Yallahs, St. Thomas, has been charged with several serious offenses following an altercation at a Morant Bay guest house.
The accused, Keeble McLune of Knights Ville, faces charges of rape, sexual intercourse with a person under 16, using a firearm to commit a scheduled offense, and common assault.
According to the Morant Bay police, the investigation revealed that McLune had allegedly sexually assaulted two girls, aged 14 and 15, on multiple occasions, providing them with money afterward. Further allegations indicate that McLune used a firearm to threaten one of the girls, warning that he would harm her and her family if she did not comply with his demands.
Police reports state that on Sunday, July 5, at approximately 3:00 a.m., McLune brought both girls to a guest house in Morant Bay, where he allegedly assaulted them again. During this encounter, the teenagers reportedly turned on McLune, stabbing him multiple times. McLune managed to flee the scene, and the incident was subsequently reported to the authorities.
Both teenagers were initially taken into custody following the incident. Upon further investigation by the police, McLune was also arrested and officially charged following a formal question-and-answer session. A court date for the matter is currently being finalized.
