A 24-year-old footballer died from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident along a section of the Lysson district, St. Thomas, on Thursday.

He has been identified as Shamar Murray, a businessman from Danvers Pen in the parish of St. Thomas.

Reports are that around 9:00 PM, Murray and another man were traveling in a Toyota Hiace minibus along the Lysson main road towards Morant Bay when the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a wall.
