A 49-year-old deliveryman from the parish of St Elizabeth, was arrested at the Sangster’s International Airport in Montego Bay, St James on Thursday, after he was found in possession of a quantity of cocaine.
His identity is being withheld pending further investigation.
Reports are that about 3:00pm, the now-accused who hails from Thornton in St Elizabeth, was in the process of boarding a flight destined for London, England.
His luggage was searched at the security check point and found to contain cocaine weighing approximately 5-Kilograms.
The drug, which has an estimated street value of $29.178 million was seized and the accused taken into custody.
