The Westmoreland police seized an illegal firearm and several rounds of ammunition on Friday afternoon, June 9.
No one has been arrested in connection with the seizure.
Reports are that about 2:30pm, lawmen assigned to the Westmoreland police department carried out an operation in White Hall community in Negril.
During the operation, several premises were searched leading to the seizure of a 9mm semiautomatic pistol, and a magazine containing one live round.
