The St Catherine police has confirmed that the eight-year-old student who was abducted from a Primary School in Portmore, St Catherine, on Thursday, and later found with her throat slashed at a section of Vinyard Town, St Andrew, has died.
The infant who attended Braeton Primary School in Portmore, was reportedly abducted on Thursday afternoon, but died on Saturday morning after spending more than a day at hospital.
The St Catherine police reported that her abductors drove her to a section of Vineyard Town, after kidnapping her, where they slit her throat and threw her out of the vehicle.
The wounded child was discovered by passers-by who alerted the police, and the child rushed to hospital where she immediately received medical attention, but later succumbed to injuries.
