Jamaica News, March 27, 2018 – St James Man Chopped to Death
St James, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – A St James man who was chopped severely all over his body by unknown assailants at his home in Salt Spring, St James on Saturday morning, March 25, succumbed to his injuries few hours later at the Cornwall Regional Hospital.
The deceased has been identified as Clifton Clarke, 22-year-old unemployed of Flower Hill also in Salt Spring area.
The Montego Hills police have reported that about 2:00 a.m. on Saturday morning, Clarke was fast asleep in his bed when two men armed with machetes forced their way inside his house and chopped him repeatedly while in his sleep. The assailants then left him for dead.
Residents in the area alerted the Montego Hills police and upon arrival, the wounded man was transported to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators reported that the victim has chops which were located at various critical point on his body so that made it impossible for him to have regained consciousness.
