Jamaica News, March 27, 2018 – Mechanic Murdered in Spring Mount
St James, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – The Spring Mount police in St James say they are now in search of one man in connection with the shooting death of a motorcyclist mechanic in the area on Monday night, March 26.
The police have given the name of the deceased as Kevin Kerr, otherwise called “Bull”, 22-year-old mechanic of Flamstead also in Spring Mount. The name of the accused who is now being sought has been withheld.
Reports are that shortly after 8:30 p.m. on Monday, Kerr rode home on his motorcycle and parked it in an unfinished building outside his house. Immediately as he walked from the building, he was ambushed by a lone gunman who brandished a handgun and shot him multiple times to his upper body. The gunman made his escape in the area on foot.
The Spring Mount police were summoned and upon arrival, the wounded man was transported to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The police further stated that following an investigation in the area, the man who is a prime suspect is now being sought.
