Jamaica News, March 27, 2018 – Popsie Executed in Westmoreland
Westmoreland, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – The Grange Hill police in Westmoreland say they are now asking members of the public for their assistance, to uncover the motive surrounding the shooting death of a man in the area on Sunday morning, March 25.
The victim has been identified as Sheldon Miller otherwise called “Popsie”, 30-year-old laborer of Race Course in Grange Hill, Westmoreland.
Reports by the Grange Hill police are that, Miller was last seen alive about 10:30 p.m. on Saturday night, March 24, where he was cooking at a “fowl fight” which was taking place along Mint Road in Grange Hill.
He reportedly left the venue about 12:30 a.m. on Sunday morning, shortly before gunshots were heard coming from a section of the community.
About 6:45 a.m. on Sunday morning, residents in the area stumbled upon the body and alerted the police. Miller was discovered lying in a pool of blood behind the “Light and Life International Ministries Church”. A large section of his head was bashed in and his hand and feet were bound with pieces of cloth.
The body was transported to the Savanna-la-mar hospital where he was pronounced dead.
