A man from St. James, who was wanted for allegedly shooting at the police during an incident on February 5, 2018, was apprehended last week while attending a visa interview at the Embassy in St. Andrew.
The accused, who has since been arrested and charged in connection with the incident, has been identified as 34-year-old Jim Warren, otherwise called ‘Keno,’ of Top Hill, Mt. Carey, St. James.
Reports indicate that around 6:30 pm, a team of officers on patrol in Rent Land, Mt. Carey, encountered Warren. Upon seeing the lawmen, he allegedly opened fire at them and fled. He had been sought since the incident.
Warren was taken into custody after he submitted a visa application on June 3 and later attended the interview.
