Jamaica News, March 23, 2018 – St Elizabeth Woman Found Dead  

St Elizabeth, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – The Santa Cruz police in St Elizabeth say, they have not yet gotten a motive surrounding the death of a woman who was discovered with her throat slashed at her home, on Wednesday afternoon, March 22.

The victim has been identified as 22-year-old Yashika Smith of Park District in St Elizabeth.

Reports by the Santa Cruz police are that on Wednesday afternoon, a family member to the deceased made several attempts to contact her but her attempts failed.

About 5:00 p.m., they went to her house at Park District in search of her and discovered her lying on the floor of her bedroom in a pool of blood.

The police were alerted and upon arrival, investigation revealed that Smith’s throat had been slashed.

The body was removed and pronounced dead at the Black River Hospital.
