Jamaica Crime News: St. Elizabeth Man in Custody in Connection With Illegal Firearm – The Pedro Plains police in St Elizabeth say they are not yet prepared to release the name of a man, who was arrested in connection with the seizure of an illegal firearm, and several rounds of ammunition in the parish on Thursday, January 17th.
Reports by the police are that about 10:45 p.m., a team of officers were carrying out patrols duties along a section of the Billy Bay main road when they signaled the accused who was driving a motor vehicle to stop.
The accused driver complied and following a search of the vehicle the lawmen stumbled upon a .45 Colt pistol, fitted with a magazine containing seven live .45rounds of ammunition.
