St. Ann Businesswoman Robbed: The police in the parish of St. Ann are carrying out an investigation into an incident where a businesswoman from the parish was robbed of $500,000 in cash shortly after she withdrew the money from a bank in the area on Friday.
Reports indicate that on Friday morning, the woman and her driver went to a bank in St. Ann, where she withdrew $500,000 in cash.
While driving back from the bank, they noticed that they had a flat tire, so the driver pulled over along Graham Street and changed the tire.
Upon completion, they discovered that the businesswoman’s handbag containing the $500,000, other documents, and an additional $10,000 was missing.
A report was made to the police, and an investigation was launched into the theft.
