St Andrew Man Charged With Murder After Brother Dies From Stab Wound

A 43-year-old electrician from St Andrew has been charged with murder following the death of his 51-year-old brother during an alleged family dispute.

Ruel Myles, of Tobias Road, Kingston 11, was charged after his brother, Terrence Myles, succumbed to injuries sustained during an altercation at their home on Thursday, August 20.

Police said a dispute between the brothers escalated into a physical confrontation, during which Ruel allegedly used a machete to stab Terrence in the back.

Terrence, a labourer who lived at the same address, was taken to hospital but died while receiving treatment.

Ruel was later taken into custody and charged following a question-and-answer session with investigators.

His court date is yet to be finalised.
