St Andrew Laborer Shot from Ladder

Jamaica News, March 26, 2018 – St Andrew Laborer Shot                                                         

St Andrew, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – A 23-year-old laborer was shot and killed by unknown assailants while climbing on a ladder to carry out work at a section of Sandy Gully in St Andrew on Friday morning, March 23.

He has been identified as Shamir Davis of Barbados Road in Olympic Gardens, St Andrew.

The Duhaney Park police have reported that shortly after 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Davis was carrying out work in the vicinity of Sandy Gully when loud explosions which sounded like gunshots were heard.

The police were summoned and upon arrival, Davis was discovered lying at the foot of the ladder in a pool of blood, suffering from gunshot wound.

The wounded man was transported to the Kingston Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
