Jamaica News, March 26, 2018 – Police Investigates Death of Hanover Farmer                

Hanover, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – The Sandy Bay police in Hanover say they are still carrying out investigations surrounding the shooting death of a farmer, whose body was discovered in bushes a short distance from his home, on Friday afternoon.

He has been identified as Desmond Hamilton, otherwise called “Glimpse” 49-year-old Goat farmer and taxi operator of Rejoin District also in Hanover.

Reports are that on Thursday morning, March 23, Hamilton left his home in Rejoin with a herd of goats.  Later that afternoon when he did not return, his family members and other members of the community got curious and carried out a search.

The search continued over into Friday, upon searching a section of the area known as Flint River, the residents stumbled upon Hamilton’s body which was lying in a pool of blood in a section of the bushes.

The Sandy Bay police were summoned and upon arrival, investigation revealed that Hamilton had multiple gunshot wounds to his stomach.

Family members also informed the police that he always travels around with a large sum of cash in his possessions, and a search of his pocket led to the discovery of the cash.
