Jamaica News – March 28, 2018 – Gunmen Invade Cassia Park  

St Andrew, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Four men were shot, one dead, following an incident where a group of heavily armed men entered the Cassia Park area in St Andrew and opened fire at random on community members on Tuesday night, March 27.

The deceased has been identified as 33-year-old Dwayne Prince of a Verene Avenue address, also in Cassia Park, St Andrew.

The identities of the three injured men have been withheld by the police, but our news team have learnt that they are presently in serious condition at hospital.

The Half Way Tree Police have reported that shortly after 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, a group of heavily armed men gained access to premises at Cassia Park and opened fire on several residents.

The police were summoned and upon arrival, they carried out a search of the area.                                                                  During the search, the lawmen stumbled upon all four wounded victims who were rushed to hospital.

Prince was later pronounced dead and the other victims admitted in serious condition.
