St. Andrew, Jamaica – A 43-year-old decorator, identified as Mohan Grant, was tragically shot and killed late Wednesday evening on Delamere Avenue, in what police suspect could be a retaliatory act linked to an earlier acid attack at the Pavillion Mall in Half-Way-Tree.
The incident occurred around 11:10 p.m. as Grant was riding his motorcycle. According to police reports, he was approaching an intersection when a black car pulled up beside him. Unidentified men inside the vehicle opened fire, fatally wounding Grant, who died instantly at the scene.
Authorities are theorizing that Grant’s murder might be connected to the acid attack on a woman at the Pavillion Mall earlier that day. The police are exploring all possible leads and have urged anyone with information to come forward to aid in their investigation.
