Two women, employed at a store in Pavilion Mall, Half-Way-Tree, St. Andrew, are being treated in serious condition at a hospital following an acid attack on Wednesday morning. The incident occurred when two men entered the store and doused the women with acid from a container.
After the attack, the men fled the scene on foot. A security guard attempted to intervene, firing a shot from his service pistol, but the suspects managed to escape.
The police were called to the scene, and the injured women were rushed to the hospital for treatment. They have been admitted in serious condition. The authorities are investigating the incident and searching for the suspects.
