MANCHESTER, Jamaica — A Jamaica Defence Force soldier is in police custody following the death of his female partner in Three Chains, Manchester on Friday.
The deceased has been identified only as “Tania.”
Reports indicate that residents heard loud screams shortly after 3:00 pm before observing a man running from the house. Law enforcement officers later responded to the scene while searching for a suspect believed to be the woman’s partner.
The soldier subsequently turned himself in to investigators. Police say the circumstances surrounding the incident are still unclear as investigations continue.
