Shoppers Fair on Brunswick Avenue in Spanish Town, St. Catherine, has reopened after completing corrective measures required by the Public Health Department.
The supermarket was ordered closed last Wednesday following an inspection during which health officials identified breaches of the Public Health Act.
Operators were instructed to address the issues before the business could resume operations. According to health officials, the required remedial actions have since been completed, allowing the supermarket to reopen on Friday.
The Public Health Department says it will continue monitoring businesses across the country to ensure they maintain required public health and safety standards.
The department has also reiterated the importance of compliance by food establishments to protect consumers and maintain safe operating conditions.
