St James, Jamaica (Mckoy’s News) – Shineka Gray’s Accused Killers: the two accused, Mario Morrison and Gregory Roberts who appeared in the St James Circuit Court to answer to the murder of 15 years old Green Pond High School student, Shineka Gray in the year 2017 were remanded into custody.
Both men who appeared in Court on Thursday, January 25th were ordered to return on March 5th.
The decomposing body of the missing Green Pond High School teen was discovered in the bushes of Irwin Meadows, in St James on Wednesday afternoon, February 1, 2017.
Shineka Gray was a resident of Mount Salem Community, also in the parish. She was reported missing on January 29, hours after she left home for a funeral service of a friend.
Her decomposing body was found after residents of Irwin Meadows reported a foul stench coming from a dirt track in the area. Investigation of the smell led to the discovery of the body of the teen girl.
Shineka Gray appeared to have been killed by stabbing, as she was found dead with multiple stab wounds.
Police also suspect the Shineka may have also been raped as she was found without her underwear.
She reportedly took a robot taxi on her way home before she was killed.

Morrison was picked up in Bamboo, Hanover and found in possession of the victim’s cell phone, while his co-accused was picked up in St Thomas.
