Sergeant Patrick Mahoney Dies Days After Being Shot in Portmore

58-year-old Sergeant Patrick Mahoney of the Jamaica Constabulary Force, has died after being shot last Thursday in Portmore, St. Catherine.

The officer, known as ‘Dean,’ succumbed to his injuries at Spanish Town Hospital. Mahoney, originally from Lluidas Vale, was found with multiple gunshot wounds following reports of gunfire and a cry for help along Frazers Avenue in Bridgeport.

The police were alerted by residents, and Mahoney was rushed to the hospital but later passed away. His family confirmed his death this morning.
