Clarendon Truck Driver Shot Dead Following Wife’s Robbery

A man was shot dead in Green Meadows, Clarendon, on Sunday night after stopping to check on a neighbor’s burning house.

The deceased, Derrick Morgan, a 62-year-old truck driver, was attacked shortly after his wife was robbed by two masked men.

Reports are that around 9:20 p.m., Morgan’s wife was held at gunpoint and relieved of her phone while investigating the fire. Moments later, Morgan was shot multiple times by the same assailants.

He was found with fatal gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at May Pen Hospital.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
