St Catherine, Jamaica: School Watchman Arrested – The Portmore police have arrested and charged a watchman who allegedly broke into the same school where he is employed in Braeton, Portmore, St. Catherine, and robbed several items.
The accused has been identified as 23-year-old Omar Walker, also known as ‘Luke,’ a watchman from Bullet Tree district in Old Harbour, St. Catherine.
Reports indicate that during the last week of May, Walker, employed as a watchman at Braeton Primary School, allegedly used keys to open the main grill at the entrance to the school lobby and later forced himself into two of the administrative offices.
He allegedly searched the offices and stole cash amounting to over $75,000.
A report of the robbery was later made to the police, and following an investigation, Walker was arrested and charged in connection with the robbery.
