Jamaica Crime News, Trelawny: A team of detectives attached to the Falmouth Criminal Investigations Bureau Department (CIB) are now carrying out a probe surrounding the mysterious death of a security guard who was employed to Atlas Security Company, but based at the Motor Vehicle Pound in Falmouth.
The deceased has been identified as, Samuel Junior Lannamon, who resided at Sea View District in Salt Marsh also in Trelawny.
Reports by the police are that shortly after 9:15 p.m. on Tuesday, June 12, a motorist alerted the Falmouth police after he saw the body of a man lying along a section of the Salt Marsh main road.
The police rushed to the scene and discovered that the victim was the security guard. He was lying on the roadway, still in his work uniform with blood coming from his ears and mouth.
Investigations also pointed out that, the victim had no sign of gunshot wounds to his body, but yet several 9 mm live rounds were found at the scene.
It also appeared that the victim may have been run over by a passing motorist who failed to stop. The dead security guard last spoke to his girlfriend shortly after 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, and was later walking home as he normally does.
The police say they are now waiting on a Postmortem examination result to determine the true cause of death.
