Mark Thomas: Shoe Repairman Murdered in St Catherine

Jamaica Crime News, St Catherine: The Waterford police in the parish of St Catherine have now launched an investigation surrounding the shooting death of a man in the area on Wednesday afternoon, June 13, 2018.

The deceased has been identified as, Mark Thomas, a 45-year-old shoemaker of Waterford Parkway in Portmore, St Catherine.

Reports by the Waterford police are that shortly after 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Thomas was riding his bicycle along a section of the Mercantile Avenue main road when three men travelling in a black motor car drove up to him.

The men travelling onboard the vehicle brandished handguns and opened fire hitting Thomas to his upper body then sped away.  Thomas fell from his bicycle in a pool of blood.

The police were summoned and upon arrival, the wounded man was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
