A 50-year-old woman was shot and killed inside her home in Linstead, St Catherine, earlier this week.
She has been identified as 50-year-old Georgia Dwarka, also known as ‘Ruth’, of Commodore district, also in Linstead.
Reports indicate that around 11:30 pm, Dwarka was at home when she was ambushed and shot multiple times by armed men.
Residents in the community alerted the police after hearing the gunshots. Upon their arrival, the now deceased was discovered lying on the floor in a pool of blood with multiple gunshot wounds.
The scene was processed, and the body was removed to the morgue for a post-mortem examination.
