Jamaica News, April 12, 2018 – Rosemount Female Caught with Ganja at State of Public Emergency Check Point
St James, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – A 52-year-old St James woman was charged with Breaches of the Dangerous Drugs Act, after she was caught with Ganja weighing approximately 10 pounds at the State of Public Emergency check point, at the border of Montpelier in St James and Chester Castle in Hanover.
Charged with Possession of and Dealing in Ganja is Dasey Robinson, self-employed of a Rosemount address also in St James.
Reports are that shortly after 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday April 11, members of the security forces were at a security check point in Montpelier and Chester castle when they signaled a dark colored passenger mini bus to stop.
The passengers were ordered from the vehicle and searched. A bag which the accused has in her possession was searched and found to contain vegetable matter resembling ganja. She was arrested and subsequently charged.
