Rihanna and A$AP Rocky are officially a party of five. The superstar couple welcomed their third child, a baby named Rocki Irish Mayers, on September 13, the singer revealed on Instagram yesterday. Rocki joins older siblings RZA, 3, and Riot, 2.
In a heartfelt post, Rihanna shared a photo cradling the newborn, swaddled in a soft pink blanket, alongside an image of pink boxing gloves tied with ribbons.
Earlier this year, at the July premiere of The Smurfs in Los Angeles, Rihanna—who voices Smurfette—spoke about her growing family. “They’re delighted,” she said of RZA and Riot’s reaction to a new sibling. The singer also shared her longtime wish for a daughter, adding, “God knows best, right? And I love my boys.”
The couple announced their pregnancy in May with a striking portrait by photographer Miles Diggs. Rihanna officially debuted her baby bump at the 2025 Met Gala, where A$AP co-chaired. At the time, A$AP told the Associated Press, “It feels amazing… We were tired of holding that, and it was time to show the people what we was cooking up. I’m glad everybody’s happy for us, because we’re definitely happy.”
Rihanna has also reflected on how motherhood has changed her, saying it has helped her embrace her femininity while navigating life as a “boy mom.” She told E! News in April 2024, “It makes me feel really cool… It forces me to embrace the epic things about being a woman, and a female and all my femininity. I embrace it so much more now, like I wear pink.”
On her relationship with A$AP Rocky, Rihanna has nothing but love. “We’re best friends with a baby,” she told British Vogue in 2023. “Everything changes when you have a baby, but I wouldn’t say it’s done anything but made us closer.”
From chart-topping hits to leading a fashion empire with Savage X Fenty, Rihanna says one of her favorite titles will always be mom.
