“Refuge” Arrested and Charged for Murder of Calvin Forrest

Latest Jamaica News, Westmoreland (McKoy’s News): Calvin Forrest Murdered The Westmoreland police have arrested and charged one man in connection with the shooting death of another man in Petersfield district, in the parish on Sunday, August 25.

Charged with murder and illegal possession of firearm and ammunition is 24-year-old Rushane Bryan, otherwise called “Refuge” laborer of Hartford district also in the parish.

Reports by the police are that on Sunday, August 25, about 8:15 p.m., Bryan and a group of armed men attempted to rob Calvin Forrest, while he was in his yard.

Returning Resident Executed During Robbery Attempt in Westmoreland

Forrest put up a challenge and he was shot and killed by the men. The police were summoned and following a series of investigations, Bryan was taken into custody.

He was charged in connection with the murder on Sunday and he is scheduled to appear in the Westmoreland Parish Court at a later date.
