Latest Jamaica News, Kingston (McKoy’s News): Investigators attached to the Elletson Road police arrested and charged 42-year-old Nicholas Meikle, otherwise called “Dickie” of Franklyn Town, for the murder of 18-year-old Tyreek Sawyers, of Southern Cross Drive in Kingston.
Sawyers was shot and killed by a gunman at his gate on Sunday, September 8.
Reports by the police are that last Sunday, about 2:15 p.m., Sawyers was standing outside his gate when he was ambushed by a man armed with a handgun.
The gunman shot the teenager multiple times before escaping in the area on foot.

The police were summoned and upon their arrival, Sawyers was discovered suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Following an investigation, Meikle was taken into custody and charged with the murder on Monday.
