KINGSTON, Jamaica – A St. Catherine-based recording artiste has found himself on the wrong side of the law after being slapped with multiple serious charges stemming from an armed robbery incident along Newlands Road, Portmore, on Monday, July 7.
The accused has been identified as 29-year-old Yashoy Clarke, otherwise called ‘A Suh Boss’, a recording artiste of Lincoln Avenue, Kingston, and Padmore district, Red Hills, St. Andrew.
Clarke has been formally charged with:
- Robbery with Aggravation
- Possession of Prohibited Weapon
- Using a Firearm to Commit a Scheduled Offence
- Receiving Stolen Property
- Conspiracy to Commit Robbery
According to reports from the Caymanas Police, around 12:30 p.m., a man was inside his repair shop when Clarke and two other men entered, posing as customers. The trio reportedly brandished firearms, bound the victim’s hands, and forced him to the ground before robbing him of personal belongings. They then fled the scene in two waiting vehicles.
Following a swift investigation, Clarke was arrested and subsequently charged on Tuesday, August 5, after being interviewed in the presence of his attorney. His court date is being finalised.
Meanwhile, police are actively pursuing Clarke’s accomplices as investigations continue.
