St James, Jamaica: A deliveryman from St. James was shot and killed near the Montego Bay Fire Station on Barnett Street, Montego Bay, St. James, on Thursday night.
He has been identified as 26-year-old Randane Vanhorne, also known as ‘Rasta’, from Hurlock community in St. James.
Reports indicate that around 9:40 pm, Vanhorne was standing beside his 1996 Toyota Corolla motor car near the Fire Station when a motor car approached.
The occupants of the motor car brandished handguns and opened fire, hitting Vanhorne multiple times and causing significant damage to the car.
They then fled in the getaway car. The Barnett Street police were alerted, and upon arrival, Vanhorne was found lying in a pool of blood beside his car.
He was taken to Cornwall Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
