St James , Jamaica: At least one person has been confirmed dead, and four others are nursing gunshot wounds at Cornwall Regional Hospital after armed men opened fire at patrons at a shop in Blood Lane, Glendevon, St James, on Wednesday night.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been released.
According to police reports, shortly after 10:00 pm, patrons were at a shop along Blood Lane when a man approached and opened fire, hitting all five individuals.
The perpetrator fled on foot from the scene, prompting a police response. Upon arrival, the wounded victims were rushed to the hospital, where one man was pronounced dead, and the other four victims were treated and admitted in serious condition.
