Portland Woman Murdered, Allegedly by Baby Father

Portland, Jamaica: Portland Woman Murdered – The police in Portland are hunting for Richard Gray, also known as ‘Otis’, a farmer from Mills Bank, for questioning in connection with the death of his baby mother, 46-year-old Merlyin Whyte, from Comfort Castle district.

Whyte was found stabbed to death inside her baby father’s house on Wednesday night, and he has not been seen or heard from since.

Reports indicate that around 7:00 pm, Gray’s brother returned from work to find their shared house in darkness. Upon switching on the lights, he discovered Whyte’s body in a pool of blood, with multiple stab wounds.

Police were called, and upon arrival, the scene was processed, and the body was taken to the morgue for a post-mortem examination.

It is believed that Whyte and her baby father had an altercation during which she was fatally stabbed, and he fled the scene.
