Jamaica Crime News: The police in Portland say they have now identified a second suspect in the shooting death of a pregnant woman and the shooting and wounding of four other relatives at their home in Lower Layton in Portland on Sunday morning of July 1st.
The police further stated that they cannot release the name of the second suspect at this time, neither are they able to give the identity of the man who was taken into custody in connection with the murder of Kimberly Baugh, otherwise called (Kim) 24 year old, also of Lower Layton in Orange Bay, Portland.
Reports by the Orange Bay Police are that, shortly after 3:15 am, on Sunday, Baugh who was five months old pregnant and four other family members were cleaning up after a party which was held at their home.
Minutes later two men armed with handguns walked up and opened fire hitting all five family members. The gunmen then escaped on foot in the area followed by which the police were summoned and upon arrival, the five victims were rushed to hospital where the pregnant mother was pronounced dead and the other four admitted in serious condition.
The police acted swiftly and went to a section of the community where they managed to apprehend one man who they believe is a prime suspect in the shooting.
