Police Shot in Head Dead on Constant Spring Rd. Soldier Killed Shooter

St. Andrew, Jamaica (Mckoy’s News) – Jamaican Police Shot in Head Dead: a Policeman was shot in the head and killed along Constant Spring Road, in the Dunrobin area on Friday evening, April 28 – by a man attempting to carry out a robbery on a bus.

Mckoy’s News received information that a police Constable attached to the St. Andrew North Division was shot and killed a short while ago along Constant Spring Road in the vicinity of Rubis Gas Station.

Reports are that a man armed with a knife was attempting to carry out robbery on a bus in the Rubis Gas Station, when a licences firearm holder intervened and attempted to use his gun to shoot, but no shots were coming from the gun.

Two policemen arrived on the scene responding to reports of suspicious men on the premises of the gas station.

Eyewitness report that, on reaching the scene the policemen attempted to handcuff the suspected robber, the Constable tripped and fell down, the robber then pulled out the policeman’s gun from his holster and immediately shot the policeman in his head, killing him on the spot.

It is further reported that a soldier in the area witnessed the killing and shot and killed the policeman’s killer. Both the officer and the robber fell dead in front of the Rubis Gas Station on Constant Spring Road, Dunrobin.

The officer was taken to the University of the West Indies, where he was pronounced dead.
