Police Seize Four Guns, Ammunition in Central Village Raid

ST CATHERINE, Jamaica — The St Catherine South police seized four firearms and magazines containing 57 rounds of ammunition early this morning during a targeted raid at a premises in Central Village where a party was being held.

According to the police, the operation took place between 3:50 a.m. and 5:25 a.m., with officers searching the premises and discovering the weapons at different locations at the back of the property. Despite the significant seizure, no one was arrested in connection with the find.

Meanwhile, the St Andrew North police also made a seizure this morning, recovering an illegal firearm in the Halls Green, Temple Hall area. The firearm was reportedly found on a motorcycle.

Both seizures are part of ongoing investigations as authorities work to combat illegal firearms and ammunition across the island.
